Received grant from the Andrew Mellon Foundation, USA to present two research papers from Ph.D. work in Population Association of America (PAA) 2001 Annual meeting in Washington DC.

Received monetary grant from the Ford Foundationproject on Reproductive Health for the fieldwork related to Ph.D. work.

Received Chandra Sekharan Award for writing best paper on the topic "India's Population - Challenges Ahead" conducted by the IASP in its annual conference held at B.H.U., Varanasi in February 1998.
